Maps that tell very interesting things about how different geographical, demographic things size up in our world

The maps outlined in the BuzzFeed article (click here) give us ALOT of insights on population concentrations, (US and global), personal preference distributions, distances between things, and the sizes of continents and the planet relative to other things.

Definitely a lot of social studies trend info here

For example…

  1. There is a point called point nemo that is the point on the Earth furthest from any landmass or island (close to Antartica)
  2. There are more people living in Asia (SE, S, E Asia) than outside of Asia
